Keith N. Hampton is an assistant professor in the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. in sociology from the University of Toronto, and a B.A. in sociology from the University of Calgary. His research interests focus on the relationship between new information and communication technologies, social networks, and the urban environment. He is past-Chair of the American Sociological Association’s Section on Communication and Information Technologies (CITASA). Lauren F. Sessions is a doctoral student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She received an M.A. in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Sociology from Tufts University. Her current research interests include information and communication technologies and social networks. Before starting her graduate studies Lauren worked in technology research and consulting at Forrester Research.
Eun Ja Her is a doctoral student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her M.A. and B.A. in Communication from Seoul National University. Her current research interests focus on changes in social network and interpersonal communication as a result of new information and communication technologies.
