The platforms people use to seek out romantic partners have evolved throughout history, including the recent rise of online dating sites and mobile apps. Today, three-in-ten U.S. adults say they have used an online dating site or app – including 11% who have done so in the past year, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. At the same time, terms associated with dating and relationships have also evolved over time.
