Nearly half of all adults (47%) own an mp3 player such as an iPod. Just five years ago, only 11% of adults owned an mp3 player. Like many gadgets, young people are the largest users of this form of technology. Fully three-fourths (75%) of adults 18 to 29 own an mp3 player. There are very little differences in mp3 ownership among racial groups, but more affluent and more educated adults are more likely to own an mp3 player.
