Privacy and security online: A status report

Today, I presented to the Congressional Internet Caucus some of our basic findings about Americans’ attitudes about online privacy and about the impact that spam and spyware and viruses are having on their online behavior.

Caucus leaders wanted our material to set the context for a major policy speech by Brad Smith, the General Counsel & Senior Vice President, who announced the company’s decision to join others in the quest to write comprehensive national legislation governing all privacy issues.

Here are my talking points. And I’ll post a link to Brad Smith’s text when it goes online.
